In Depth Anti-virus
McAfee SMG is based on the same anti-virus technology as our award-winning desktop product. The heart of McAfee anti-virus protection is an engine that blocks both known and unknown viruses. This protects you against zero-day attacks and new virus threats. McAfee SMG scans all inbound and outbound messaging traffic that use SMTP and POP3 protocols.
Advanced e-mail Content filtering
What if you could protect against inappropriate content coming into your network, as well as guard against sensitive information leaving the network, such as trade secrets, financial data, or the like? McAfee SMG's built-in e-mail content filtering can do both. With lexical scanning of e-mails and more than 300 types of attachments, McAfee SMG can block or modify messages that contain specific words or phrases that violate a content rule.
